Dr. Gabriela Durig was born and raised in Southern California. After earning her B.S. from the University of California, Davis, she went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from The Ohio State University in 2015.
Following graduation, Dr. Durig moved to Arizona, where she completed an emergency-focused internship and gained extensive experience working in a high-volume urgent care and general practice setting. In 2021, she returned to the Buckeye State to be closer to family and continue her veterinary journey.
Dr. Durig chose to transition from emergency medicine to general practice, enjoying the continuity of care and the long-term relationships she’s able to build with clients and their pets. She is thrilled to be joining the Galena Vet Care team and serving the community she now calls home.
While she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Durig has special interests in surgery, internal medicine, and emergency care. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, exercising, cooking and gardening.
